With this Unique Table d'Hôte Experience in Mauritius, you can either relish a private lunch expertly crafted by Marie-Michèlle or roll up your sleeves for a cooking workshop where you actively participate in the creation of your meal. It's a chance to learn the secrets, techniques, and stories behind the Mauritian dishes.

You'll have the opportunity to choose two menus from a variety of options such as Chicken, Creole Sausage, Fish, Vegetarian and Signature Dish. All the menus come with a welcoming cocktail and culminates in a delightful Coconut or Vanilla Ice Cream with Pawpaw or Pineapple Jelly, as well as drinks to quench your thirst.

Indulge in traditional Creole life as Marie-Michèlle guides you through the preparation of classic Mauritian dishes. From picking fresh vegetables to blending her signature spice mixes, every moment is a celebration of the island's rich culinary heritage.

From 10:30 to 12:00, you have the unique opportunity to be the chef and craft your own lunch under the guidance of Marie-Michèlle. Explore the depths of Mauritian cuisine, cooking techniques, tips, and cherished grandmother's recipes.

The journey extends beyond the kitchen—take a stroll through Marie-Michèlle's kitchen garden, the source of the fresh vegetables that will grace your plate. And to top it all off, you'll have the chance to learn the art of folding, filling and making delicious samoussas.

• 11:30 - 12:00 - SAMOUSSA DEMONSTRATION

If you’re short on time or simply captivated by the art of making samoussas, this 30-min demonstration is tailor-made for you. Get ready to discover the secrets of crafting the perfect samoussa, and perhaps, leave with a new skill to showcase at your next culinary gathering back home.

*Samoussa is a savoury snack characterised by its thin, crispy pastry shell with spiced filling, which is typically deep-fried to golden perfection. This delightful culinary creation reflects the island's rich cultural diversity, combining Indian influence with Mauritian flair.

Exclusive Table d'Hôte Experience Kot Marie-Michèlle - Menu

As part of the Table d'Hôte Experience, you can choose up to 2 menus maximum, with optional add-ons.

• Minimum number of participants: 2
• Maximum number of participants: 20
• Bookings to be made at least 72h in advance since it is a Table d’Hôte and not a restaurant.
• Allergies/food restrictions are taken into consideration.
• Note: Any booking made through the website needs to be respected; any changes or additional persons will have to be communicated prior to booking dates.
• Deer Season: 1st June - 30 September
• Experience is exclusively reserved to customers, i.e groups are not merged.
